sister brands for two breakthrough technologies
Urgo RID is the research, innovation and development arm of Urgo, a French medical and healthcare business. RID is made up of scientists and technologists who discover, imagine and develop medical innovations. They were launching two new breakthrough technology projects, and need a pair of harmonious identities to brand and promote the processes to the wider scientific community.
The two technologies are highly advanced, fairly complex and both focus on treatment of skin issues and wounds. It was important that each identity gave an immediate sense of what the technology is actually doing and each had its own distinct look, whilst still retaining a shared visual cues across the two brands.
It was important each design route had a strong conceptual thought behind it - reflective of both the name and the product. These conceptual thoughts led to two creative platforms that then informed the design direction.

After an initial period of design exploration, I led the design team on into refining the concepts into two cohesive, and connected design approaches. The two identities were applied across brand graphics, templates, brochures and outlined in visual identity guidelines.
